We arrived at our spot just before 7:00 pm .
I finally caught a nice catfish night fishing. It was 18 inches and about 1 and a half pounds.
I was using liver for bait.
I also caught 2 small bluegill and 2 small perch. These were used as catfish bait for David.
David caught 2 bluegill and a 10 inch catfish. The bluegills were used as catfish bait and the little catfish was released back into the pond.
I caught 2 bass. They were only about 8 inches, so they were released back into the pond.
Of course David had to out do me in the catfish department. He was not getting much action on his fish used for bait so he switched over to liver also. He then caught a 21 inch 2 pound catfish. He followed that up with a 16 inch one pounder.
I had a couple of more bites, but then a thunderstorm started moving in. We decided to call it a night after a big flash of lightning.
We left at 11:45pm.
The three catfish are now happily swimming in the stock tank until they get rid of their lakeyness. Then they will be cleaned and made into dinner or maybe freeze this bunch. I will leave that up to David.
