My mini rose-bush continues to bloom and put on new buds. I counted two more yesterday(Sunday May 20th).
I was able to get out and do some transplanting of three plants. First one was the yellow squash plant. It is still doing well. It did loose the large leaf due to some windy days. After all these windy days it clouded up and rained for 3 days. I have not had to water again yet as the ground is still trying to dry out. That probably won’t take too much longer as the temperatures are supposed to be in the 80s for the next week and a half. I was also able to get most of the front yard mowed before the rainstorms. I finished the last little bit late yesterday afternoon(May 20th).
I next transplanted the single moonflower seedling. It is still alive. I had troubles getting these to stay alive after I transplanted them last year. So I hope I have learned enough to keep this one going and get a bloom.
The other was Cleo. I brought this plant in last fall to be a house plant during the winter. I just loved the cool colored leaves and wanted to enjoy it longer. I am not sure it the whole thing is going to survive but the smaller parts seem to be doing ok for now. I can always go back out and trim off the dead branches. I took three pictures of the hole I dug, because of the shadows. I could not see which looked the best.
The turnips and carrots are coming up nicely. You can barely see the carrots in the left side of the picture below. The Sunflowers did not come up. The seeds were just too old, they were in a bowl from way back in 2007’s garden seeds.
