Date of Stay: November 1st 2014 thru November 3rd 2014
It was getting a bit chilly at nights at the Cleater claim, which was on a lightly populated mountain, David kept a close eye on the weather app on his phone. It looked like it was going to stay chilly and move on into down right cold. The highs were going to start being in the 40s and lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. There was a huge storm system headed our way. Well since we took the furnace out of BOB (because the south is warm right) we decided we best get down off that mountain before the snow started to fly!
We passed through a few rainshowers as we drove down the mountain on the 1st of November. Our day’s drive ended in Campe Verde, Arizona where we found this nice little rv park.
David went into the office that was still decorated for Halloween. The desk gentleman was very friendly and helpful. David told him we were members of an Rv Club for the discount. The gentleman asked David his age. He told him and the desk clerk said that the Senior Discount was actually a better price then our club discount.
Then the clerk escorted us to our site on his golf cart. Our site was up a small incline on the back row. He made sure we got backed in ok ,said have a nice night, and drove away. We got settled in, had supper, and did some interneting on the free wi-fi. Then it was off to bed.
The next morning it was cloudy, chilly, and raining. We decided to stay another day so we would not be driving in it. I took the opportunity to use the shower room. It was clean and the shower was hot. There was a pool but it was drained for the winter, again I probably would not have used it anyway. It had a very nice little court-yard. They also had a small exercise room in the same building as the shower rooms. I walked by it on my way to the shower rooms. There was a laundry room, but we didn’t need to do any.
As I was returning to BOB, some long time guest stopped me for a bit of conversation. They stayed months at a time during the off-season. They really enjoyed this park and return every year. I really enjoyed our visit, but it was starting to rain again so I needed to get back inside.
I really enjoyed our stay here. It was friendly and clean. It is pet friendly too although Sully did not venture out. It was also the first park we had stayed at that was an adult only park. No one under 18.
You can find Krazy K RV Park on the web.
