Two Days of Yardening in Row May 30

As you know I got a bit side tracked in my plans yesterday. I was able to get those plans finished today.
I started the morning by planting gladiolus bulbs in the corner of the deck bed. The box of wildflower mix I sprinkled on the south side of the deck is doing well and sprouting like crazy. The moonflower behind Ricky Racoon is still alive. I did not plant anything on the west side of the deck as last year’s flowers self seeded and are starting to sprout. I cut Cleo back and she is doing well now too.

I then moved over to the south bed by the back steps. I planted a row of gladiolus behind the decorative stick between the two deer skulls. I had an assistant today. The neighbor’s little black kitty came to help or maybe she just wanted some petting. I was happy to oblige. I sprinkled a box of marigolds on top when the gladiolus were all planted.

With her assistance this bed was planted in no time at all.

I moved around the corner to the west end of the house bed. The kitty helped a wee bit with this bed then she ran off to do regular kitty stuff. I planted a row of gladiolus about four inches from the house the full length of the bed. I then sprinkled the top with the two boxes of impatiens. That completes the planting of the flowers. Now it is just wait and see what comes up.

I still have the pepper seedlings to transplant outside, but they need to get one or two more leaves before I do that.

The mini rose-bush is doing excellent, so much so that he had to be repotted into a bigger pot this morning. I also added a shish kabob stick to help hold up that big beautiful flower. He now has 3 more buds waiting to blossom.
