Review of Meadview RV Park and Cozy Cabins – Meadview, Arizona

We stayed at this park before we headed out to the gold claim. We stayed the evening of October 15th 2014 and until the afternoon of October 16th, 2014.

David found this park through some fellow gold prospectors online. It was close to some gold claims that were listed in his Gold Prospectors of America Association Mining Guide. So it made a great place to rest from the long drive and take showers.

We arrived in the early evening the gentleman that checked us in was friendly. We went to our spot and got settled in. We had supper and then did a bit of stuff on the laptop. Then went to bed.
The next morning I made use of the showers. I walked over, set all my stuff down, and was getting to turn on the shower when I realized it was coin operated. I had to go back to the RV to get some quarters. It is the desert so the water has to be hauled in by truck so you can’t be taking 30 minutes showers. You have to conserve water in the desert. This is done by only giving you 9 minutes for your shower. I didn’t know if I could take a shower in 9 minutes so I washed and conditioned my hair first. Didn’t want to run out of time with shampoo in my hair. I need not worry I got that done and was able to stand and enjoy the water for a couple of minutes. I still had time left, but I was done so no need to waste the water for the full 9 minutes. We did not have laundry at the time so we did not use the laundry facility. We spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon tiding up the rv and making plans to get to the gold claim.
The scenery was beautiful. It was peaceful and quiet. It was a great place for an overnight stop. It would be great for a long term stay too. I really enjoyed our stay.
